Our project is ending on 2024 August 31st. We are pleased to share our latest experimental results conducted in CEFEL orchards during this summer. The CEFEL orchards are 100m-long and 4m-large commercial orchards. Our robot was able to navigate autonomously for about 30 minutes, performing an 800m-long path. Most of the parasitic oscillations appearing in our previous tests have been suppressed by improving the perception pipeline, the path generation process and the control law computation. These results allow us to obtain a prototype and a solid proof of concept for our GPS-free navigation strategy.
