Two French internship students have joined the ARPON project. The first one is a master student from Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse. His work belongs to WP2 dedicated to vision and deals with tree detection and tracking using the embedded Real Sense cameras. He will help integrate the existing detection algorithm on ROS and will improve its robustness by adding a dedicated filter. The second student comes from UPSSITECH school, Toulouse. His work, focused on control, is related to WP1. The objective is to evaluate and improve an existing strategy allowing to perform a vision-based task in the presence of static and dynamic obstacles. These two students will strengthen the team for 6 and 4 months respectively.
