ARPON is starting ! It is a joint collaborative research project between (CNRS-LAAS) France and UFPE-CIn (Brazil). It has been submitted to the 2020 ANR Generic call as a international collaborative research project. It was accepted for funding by both ANR and FACEPE by late 2020. Its kick off took place on 2021 March 1st. It will target the problem of safe navigation through orchards. More details are available in the presentation section.
Antoine Villemazet, who is graduated from SRI-UPSSITECH engineer school, has joined the team as a PhD student. His work will be supervised by Dr. Viviane Cadenat (France) and Dr. Adrien Durand – Petiteville (Brazil). It will be devoted to the design of a visual predictive control strategy dedicated to orchard navigation. Collaboration is starting !
